Japanese Popular Music: culture, authenticity and power

Friends and colleagues from schools, faculties and universities gathered on Wednesday, 16 April to celebrate the publication of Japanese Popular Music: culture, authenticity and power, by the Institute Deputy Director, Carolyn S. Stevens.

The evening, hosted by the Asia Institute, was chaired by Dr. Peter Eckersall (School of Culture and Communications). Professor Vera Mackie (School of Historical Studies) launched the book, and Professor Abdullah Saeed, Director of the Asia Institute, closed the evening with a vote of thanks.
